1. What is Two Doors?
Two Doors is a non profit community resource center that offers an after school tutoring program for students in grades 1 - 5 specifically from Longridge, English Village & Lakeshore Elementary Schools in the Greece Central School District.
2. Where is Two Doors located?
Two Doors is located at 2984 Dewey Ave in the town of Greece. The building is located next to Bethany Presbyterian Church, near the corner of Dewey Ave and Maiden Lane.
3. What type of programs do you offer?
4. How many children are in the program? 
We limit enrollment to 40 students in the After School Homework assistance program. Our Summer program serves 50 children. These unique programs seek to build positive strong and personal relationships.

5. What are the hours of operation?
Two Doors follows the calendar of the Greece Central School District, including official school closures and snow days. Hours of operation are 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM - Monday thru Thursday.

6. How long has Two Doors been an asset to our community?
Two Doors opened it's doors to Barnard and Longridge students in 1994, and expanded to serve the English Village and Lakeshore schools in 2009. To date we have served over 350 students.
7. How are children selected for the program?
Children can be referred by school staff or can be identified by Two Doors personnel. Children who would benefit from one on one adult interaction for both academic and social support are considered.
8. How can my child get into the program? 
Talk to you child's teacher and ask that they make a referral or contact Linda Quinn, Program Director at 663-8936.
9. What is your child to volunteer ratio?
Usually Two children to One volunteer staff
10. Do you provide training for your volunteers?
Absolutely, local educators and professional consultants provide training on an ongoing basis. Many of our volunteers have worked with our neighborhood children for 10 years at Two Doors. Nearly half of our program volunteers were former school teachers.

11. How much does it cost to have a child in the program?
Two Doors charges $90 per month for 3 days per week and $145 per month for those attending 5 days per week  for the After School Care program. This also includes each student�s participation in Cultural Arts and Family Nights.
12. How can I make a donation to Two Doors?
13. Is Two Doors a nonprofit organization?
Yes.  Two Doors was incorporated as a 501 c (3) organization in 2000.
14. Is Two Doors a United Way agency?
Two Doors is a participant in the United Way Donor Designation Program. You can specifically identify Two Doors as the organization that you want to receive your United Way dollars through your workplace (#2303).
15. Is Two Doors affiliated with any other organizations?
Although Two Doors is now an independent non profit organization, It began as an outreach mission of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Two Doors would not exist without the support and dedication of Bethany and its members.
Greece Central School District has been a valued partner of the Two Doors Project for 15 years, providing professional support, a productive school and community partnership that works together to meet the academic needs of participating children.

16. Are all the staff at Two Doors volunteers
Two Doors employs an Executive Director, part time Program Director, part time Administrative Assistant and several part time program aides and teachers.  Our Summer Education Day Camp Program employs teachers and staff with professional public school experience.

19. What is a typical program day?
The children receive homework assistance from adult volunteers, are provided a snack and participate in socialization activities, crafts and games, other activities include time in the computer lab and supervised outdoor activities.
20. Do you have any computers for the kids to use?
Yes, we have a computer lab in our both our program locations in the Two Doors facility at 2984 Dewey Ave, and in Bethany Presbyterian Church.   All internet activity is monitored by volunteers and is used to support academic goals.
